Custom Home Building on the Peninsula

Ground-up construction for homeowners who want a home built around how they actually live, from first shovel to final walkthrough.

Building a custom home in the SF Bay Area – Peninsula means navigating tight lots, strict city review processes, and a construction market where quality subcontractors are in high demand. We manage all of it: permitting, scheduling, and day-to-day site supervision, so you're making design decisions, not chasing down subcontractors.

Every custom home project starts with a site walk and a straightforward conversation about budget. From there, we coordinate with your architect (or ours) through permitting, then run the build with weekly progress updates and a change-order process that keeps surprises out of your final invoice.

FAQ

Common Questions

How long does a custom home build take on the Peninsula?+

Most ground-up custom homes we build take 10–14 months from permit issuance to final walkthrough, depending on size, site conditions, and city review timelines. Design and permitting before that typically adds several more months.

Do you work with our architect, or do you provide design services?+

Both. Many clients come to us with an architect already selected, and we coordinate closely with them through design and permitting. If you don't have one yet, we can recommend architects we've worked with successfully on the Peninsula.

What's included in your custom home estimate?+

Our estimates break out site work, foundation, structural, envelope, mechanical/electrical/plumbing, and finishes as separate line items, so you can see exactly where your budget is going and where there's flexibility.

Can you build on a difficult or sloped lot?+

Yes, several of our Peninsula projects have involved retaining walls, grading, or foundation engineering for sloped or constrained lots. We'll flag site challenges during the estimate, not after you've signed a contract.
